This wine comes from the Jura in eastern France close to Switzerland and is made from Savagnin Blanc. Not to be confused with 'Sauvignon' Blanc, Savagnin Blanc is an ancient grape variety that, according to Decanter, produce dry whites with good acidity and "typically has a citrus and floral character, but is also capable of more exotic tropical flavors."
