ERIC FABER  was the Sommelier at La Poste in 2010, and moved to Chicago, where he worked at Spiaggia and Perennial Virant before becoming the Beverage Director for Denihan Hospitality Group.
Eric completed the Advanced Sommelier Exam in 2015 and is a candidate for the Master Sommelier Diploma. In 2010 and 2011 Eric was named one of the Top Young Sommeliers in the US by both the Guild of Sommeliers and the Chaine des Rotissuers. He has been featured on Food Network and in Wine Spectator and Restaurant Industry magazines. He currently co-hosts the popular wine and beverage podcast ‘Grapes and Stuff,’ Eric moved back to his hometown in 2014 to begin working in the import and distribution side of the industry.

AUSTIN HEIDT  became a Certified Wine Educator in 2014 and was named Top Somm Great Lakes. In 2015, Austin passed the Theory and Tasting portions of the Master Sommelier Exam and in 2018, was accepted into the Master of Wine program.
He currently studies for both exams. He has worked Harvest in 6 different countries and grows 15-acres of his own vines in the Old Mission Peninsula AVA of Traverse City, Michigan. His formal education includes hospitality at the University of Denver, Cornell University and a cooking degree from the Culinary Institute of America. He was a Sommelier at Frasca Food and Wine, winner of multiple James Beard Awards and became Wine Director of Rich Table Restaurant in San Francisco,a Michelin Star winner during his tenure.

Gregory Stokes

GREGORY STOKES is the sommelier and general manager of  Veritas in Columbus, OH. Last year, he passed the Master Sommelier Theory exam and led Veritas to being named one of America’s 100 Best Wine Restaurants by Wine Enthusiast.
Previously, he was a Rudd Scholar, earning the highest score on passing the Advanced Sommelier examination for the first sitting.  After the March 15 shutdown of restaurants due to COVID-19, he created an online wine delivery service for the local Columbus area called Cuvée Wine Society.

These experts are currently candidates for the prestigious Master
Sommelier Diploma. They will discuss the history of the Willamette Valley, its wines, producers and what makes the Valley so incredibly unique and important.
